IMG_1449 (1)Last night in Yosemite West...... thunder once an hour in the afternoon....but by 6:10pm   rain, hail, thunder......until 8:00pm awesome sky...the almost 1/4 moon rises ....with clouds and beautiful colors surrounding her...10:50pm.  The waterfalls of Yosemite Valley....would now be flowing more fully.....and the conditions were perfect for tomorrow's celestial clouds in Yosemite Valley...yes, an awesome day....spent in Yosemite Valley....

My First Summer in the Sierra by John Muir......"The whole landscape showed design, like man's noblest sculptures.  How wonderful the power of its beauty!  Gazing awestricken, I might have left everything for it.  Glad, endless work would then be mine tracing the forces that have brought forth its features,  its rocks and plants and animals and glorious weather.....

IMG_1628We are now approaching the region of clouds and cool streams.  Magnificent white cumuli appeared about noon above the Yosemite region....floating fountains refreshing the glorious wilderness....No rock landscape is more varied in sculpture, none more delicately modeled than these landscapes of the sky;  domes and peaks rising, swelling, white as finest marble and firmly outlined, a most impressive manifestation of world building.  every raincloud, however fleeting, leaves its mark, not only on trees and flowers whose pulses are quickened, and on the replenished streams and lakes, but also on the rocks...are its marks engraved whether we can see them or not.

Cumuli rising to the eastward.   How well they harmonize with the upswelling rocks beneath them. Mountains of the sky, solid-looking, finely sculptured, their richly varied topography wonderfully defined.  Never before have I seen clouds so substantial looking in form and texture.  Another glorious Sierra day in which one seems to be dissolved and absorbed and sent pulsing onward we know not where.  Life seems neither long nor short, and we take no more heed to save time or make haste than do the trees and the stars.  This is true freedom, a good practical sort of immortality..."

Jogging to Yosemite Falls....took some pics of  clouds along the way, the falls.....more rainbow colors in her mist...more clouds,  beautiful purple toned Half Dome with purple toned clouds,  jogged over to el Capitan....Ribbon Fall and Bridalveil Fall are flowing more fully again....and because of the light and the clouds, the rock surrounding Ribbon Fall was toned purple.

IMG_1449 (1)"The purpose of life.....is to express love in order to be happy, you should love....and spread a network of love everywhere....fill others with love. Everyone can recall a moment, universal to all, perhaps from early childhood, when you wanted to love everyone and everything.....and you wanted everyone to feel good, everyone to feel happy;  and even more you wanted to do something special so that everyone would be happy this feeling is the feeling of love, and it must be returned to.....for it is the life of every person." by a famous Russian author.....Leo Tolstoy.

Anything you do....should be filled with love.  Scenic Wonders would love to help you and your family to enjoy a lovely vacation in Yosemite.....where Nature spreads a network of love everywhere!!!
