Snowshoeing to the Aspen Grove at Badger Pass
Dear Friends
I greet you form Yosemite

The Aspen Grove at Badger Pass is the a wonderful spot to enjoy while snowshoeing.

The Ranger Led Snowshoe Walk will take you pass this grove of aspens. One never tires of this spot which is a short climb above the Badger Pass Ski Resort.

Aspens like living together in a small group in the woods. The aspens look pretty together in the snowy woods.

The aspen is a poplar tree with rounded, long-stalked, and typically coarsely toothed leaves that tremble in even a slight breeze.

The aspen that grows at Badger Pass is the quaking aspen.

[Genus Populus, family Salicaceae: species, quaking aspen (P. tremuloides)]

The quaking aspen grows in areas with heavy snow….where other trees find it difficult to survive. And as the snow melts, the quaking aspen love the refreshing cold water streams.

The Aspen Grove at Badger Pass is the a wonderful spot to enjoy while snowshoeing.
