Nestled in the pines, Yosemite Pines is our most easily accessible lodging, great for seniors and for people with walking disabilities.
This duplex home has two bedrooms and one bathroom. Each bedroom has one queen bed and has distant mountain views. The living room has a wood burning stove/fireplace, TV/DVD Satellite and is open to a large dining area and modern kitchen. The living room also opens to a cozy deck that overlooks a large flat yard, great for the younger children to run and plays within the sugar pines. There are 2 parking spots over summer months, 1 over snowy months.

Excellent location, great apartment that was very cozy! Host was friendly and gave us a welcome phone call. Clear instructions listed. Easy check-in. Everything was so clean and felt comfortable!
Apartment had some basic necessities, but could have benefited from a few additions:
1. Body wash and shampoo (only had 1 small bar of hand soap)
2. Cooking oil
3. Locks on windows and sliding glass doors (some had locks but they did not work)
Overall, would recommend to friends to stay! Had an enjoyable experience!

Property was basic and somewhat worn but clean so no problem there. Carpet could use shampoo from wear and smaller couch is worn out and not comfortable for sitting. Bedrooms clean but in our room (left side) all 4 pillows were so huge and overstuffed that they were unusable (they seemed designed more for a display than for sleeping) - we stuffed some of our clothing in pillow cases to make acceptable pillows. Bed in right side bedroom was worn out - our friends sunk toward the center. Kitchen decent but pretty basic - some chairs wobbly, cabinet doors stick very annoyingly (I had noticed someone else who had stayed prior also commented on these things - just fix them (self-sticking felt tabs at Home Depot for a few $). Knobs to show which side opens would be a bonus. Coffee carafe looked to be nearly brand new but appeared to have stress fracture near the handle (I told the guy in the property, but just letting you know in case he didnt get this fixed - it needs to be replaced for safety). Bathroom - we only had 3 washcloths for 4 people and luckily one of us brought shampoo - please make sure its properly stocked. Tub is really worn - paint flaking, etc. in a $400+ night place not really appropriate. Getting consistent water temperature in tub was nearly impossible - faucet mechanism needs to be replaced (just try it, youll see).

Nice view from the outside and very roomy on the inside but only one bathroom for four adults, so somewhat inconvenient at times. Furniture and beds were comfortable. No A/C when temperatures were in the upper 80s at that time, so difficult to sleep at night without perspiring - even with fans blowing on us and only top sheets (we took the comforters off the beds). Blinds in kitchen were in bad shape and there was a hole in the screen door (lower corner).

We had wonderful vacation! The lodgings were great . We stayed at Yosemite Pines 7292 Black Oak Lane. Keith whom lives there also in the duplex, could not have been nicer and so so very helpful. We had a blown fuse one morning which he fixed right away. We were there with a group of 30 women and there was a storm predicted for the day we left. He was so kind as to help all that needed help ,with putting on tire chains! Which was about 4 cars! He also helped us scrape off the ice off of our windshields and door latches in the morning so we could open our trunks and see out the front window. He is definitely an asset to the community. When we come back next year ,I plan on bringing a thank you gift for him! Making the reservations and all the help they provided was wonderful. We will definitely come back year after year!

Yosemite was beautiful! This property is so close to everything- saved us so much time every morning since we could drive right in to the park. The property was clean, but the decor was outdated. The green carpet really needs to be replaced.

It was pretty basic, which is fine, but missed a few key items like enough dish towels, napkins or paper towels. The chairs around the dining table were very wobbly and we were afraid of the legs breaking. The toilet also clogged easily which we were able to unclog but it happened a few times.

The bed mattress in one room, the lower bed, was very uncomfortable. While laying in bed, we would sink in toward the center!

We love staying at Scenic Wonders and we mostly enjoyed our last visit at Yosemite Pines. There was one serious issue with the shower that needs attention. It was hard to regulate the hot and cold. After setting the temperature, it would change to very, very hot water, then to cold. It made taking showers very unpleasant. We had to run the shower for a few minutes to get a decent temperature. The nozzles seems to be the wrong size. Have a great day! Linda

We were disappointed that the pictures online show the whole house but you are only renting a small part of the house. It is shared by other renters. The cabinets stick and bang closed. Maybe door handles would be helpful. The property could use some updating however it is in a very good location.

Initially I had thought the property would be too far from the Valley floor but in reality, it was the perfect location. We enjoyed its proximity to Glacier Point, and passing by Tunnel View on the way to the Valley was an added plus. The property itself was clean, spacious and perfect for our needs, especially the full sized and well appointed kitchen. Didnt have an opportunity to use the BBQ or fireplace but nice to have them available. Would not hesitate to stay there again.

The 2 bedroom cabin was nice, definitely outdated, but it was pretty accurate to the pictures so I knew what to expect. I enjoyed that it was quiet as I wanted a quiet getaway. There is no wifi at this place but I enjoyed going off grid to disconnect. I think there could be a few more basic things provided for cooking such as oil and a few more spices as we there was only salt and pepper provided, some coffee and nothing else. I think this is important as most people end up cooking since it is far into Yosemite away from restaurants. Aside from this, my stay was quite enjoyable.

We all loved our stay at the lodge, which was quiet, accessible and in a very pleasant location. We particularly loved the outdoor seating area, the lodge was well equipped, spacious and easily accommodated 2 couples. We had no trouble eating and drinking using the provided equipment and the presence of plenty of fans made up for the lack of air con.The only minor point was we would have liked a washing machine in the lodge, however this did not detract from a thoroughly enjoyable 3 days in the park.
