A true cabin in the woods full of modern amenities. Whispering Pines is a one bedroom, one bathroom pet friendly home perfect for couples or small families. Located inside Yosemite Park in the historic town of Wawona this cabin is walking distance to the Merced River and the local Pine Tree Market. Pets welcome for an additional fee of $50/per day.
Make Whispering Pines your home base for your Yosemite vacation! This little cabin is fully equipped for a comfortable stay. As you enter the home you are greeted by warm custom wood work, all locally sourced and milled from Ponderosa Pines that were devastated by the bark beetle. Marvel at the blue tint and borrowing holes left behind by the beetle. The living room has a leather sofa set with queen size sofa bed (recommended for kids only), 43" smart UHD TV with dish network and DSL WiFi. The bedroom hosts a medium firm queen size hybrid mattress and custom made Ponderosa Pine headboard. The bathroom is equipped with a walk in shower and hand held shower head. The kitchen has all appliances including dishwasher, microwave, toaster and blender. All cookware and utensils provided. The spacious rear deck has a propane Weber Grill and we provide the propane. Located in central Wawona you can enjoy walks through the community, take a dip in the Merced River on warm summer days or stargaze at the Yosemite night sky. Wawona is home to the Pioneer history museum, the trail head for the Chilnualna Falls trail, close to the Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias and one of the few locations in the park with local market and gas.
This home is pet friendly for an additional fee.

It was an amazing time for my wife and I to celebrate 40 years of marriage together. The cabin was perfect! Charming but not austere. It was tastefully decorated, modernly equipped, and clean and neat. The owners and property managers thought of almost anything you would need. The staff was ready and available and very professional. We will definitely come back!

What a lovely cabin! It was clean, a great kitchen with nice utensils . (would have liked a colander for draining pasta and a kettle for tea- an item common in English and South African households but have not seen travelling in the USA). Good communication with the host Steve as a TV repair man had to come in . Was a wonderful stay in such a beautiful national park and if we ever come back to this part of the world, will definately stay there again! Will highly recommend to my friends.

Not much to tell. We were invited to share some time in Yosemite Valley with friends and this was open. It was all good: Within park boundaries (which matters in Yosemite these days), clean, generously laid out, very well appointed (my gf says the best of any comparable shes seen), a ~35m drive to the Valley, which was both close enough and away enough. Only drawback I noticed: The smoke detector is so close to the toaster that my English muffin tripped it. :-) We plan/hope to return!

We really enjoyed it! The cabin had everything we needed and was very nice to come back to after spending the day at the park.
We did try to go to the river but what we thought was the closed road on the directions said private property so Im not sure if we were in the wrong place or what.

Great lodging, VERY clean and nice. Loved having the back deck and grill and walk to the falls was close and nice to to after a long day at the parks. The pine market also has absolutely anything one could need. Bed was very comfortable which is a rare find. Would definitely stay here again.

Spotless and well appointed cabin. Really good amenities including Wi-Fi and USB charging points which was very much appreciated. Location was further than I had expected from Yosemite Valley. Otherwise very satisfied with the stay.

Great cabin. Everything was clean and as described. We wouldnt hesitate to return. It might be good to note that the bedroom is cold during the winter due to the distance from the main heater.

We loved how well stocked and clean our cabin was. We loved how convenient it was to walk to Pine Tree market and the great selection of products that the market offered. We loved the quaint and quiet community of Wawona, the proximity of the Yosemite trails, and especially the close river access.

The cabin was updated, well stocked, and clean. It would have been great to have info there on where to take recycling. We threw away recyclables before we saw a sign at the store on recycling locations. Thanks for a great stay!

The cabin is so cute and cozy, it felt very welcoming and a nice blend of rustic and modern. I enjoyed being able to walk to the store and the private trail down to the river. So fun!!!

Very nice, clean and comfortable. Easy to travel to the park from the cabin. We used the well equipped kitchen and barbecue a lot to cook dinner. We enjoyed both balconies depending the time of the day.
