Papa Bear Cabin offers 1 queen bed in the master suite, 2 full sized beds in the upstairs bedroom and 2 full sized beds in the bottom floor suite. (Sleeps 8). Enjoy golf, fishing, swimming, hiking, and horseback riding. Located in the Park, Yosemite Valley is just 27 miles away, Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias is 6 miles away and Badger Pass Ski resort is 19 miles away!

Open living room, rock fireplace (bring your own wood), fully equipped kitchen, expansive sundeck with table, chairs and barbecue. All the comforts of home, plus a gorgeous clear blue sky, clean air, mountains, trees, hiking trails, waterfalls, animals and birds.Papa Bear Cabin provides bed linens and towels. There are flat screen TV in the living room and each bedroom is connected to DISH satellite. The kitchen is completely furnished, including dishes & utensils, electric stove and oven, microwave, dishwasher, BBQ, DVD, and DISH Satellite TV. Enjoy golf, fishing, swimming, hiking, and horseback riding. Yosemite Valley is 27 miles away, Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias is 6 miles away and Badger Pass Ski resort is 15 miles away. The Historic Wawona Hotel with seasonal restaurant and 9-Hole Golf Course is 8 minutes away from Papa Bear Cabin. The following landmarks are very close including the Lower & Upper Chilnualna Falls, 6 Trailheads and the South Fork of the Merced River, Yosemite Valley's waterfalls, Half Dome and El Capitan. For those with boats, Bass Lake is within 30 miles. Close by are two well stocked markets: Pine Tree Market, one block from the home and the Wawona Store is across from the Golf Course.

We did not expect the cabin to be in such a community of cabins. It was an older cabin and it showed. But it suited our purpose for the trip to Yosemite. We enjoyed the musical gentleman at the Wawonna Hotel in the evenings.

The PaPa Bear Cabin is a great location from which to explore Yosemite. It is a short scenic drive to the Valley Floor and very close to the Mariposa Grove. The cabin was fully furnished and our group of six enjoyed most of our meals there. The only drawback was the beds. All of them are long past their usefulness to the point of being very uncomfortable.

Enjoyed ours stay but would have liked check out to be leater since we could not get in Until 4. Other than that everything was good. They had pots, plates, utensils. Just drink your own food to cook.

Papa Bear Cabin was perfect for our family vacation. Wish we could have stayed an entire week. We will try to book earlier next visit. The cabin was perfect size and kitchen was great. It was a bit outdated, but we were in the woods in a cabin! Who cares!. Looking forward to our next Yosemite visit. Did not have enough time to see it all!.

The cabin was very comfortable and had all the essential equipment (kitchen utensils, dishwasher, grill, bathroom toiletries) needed for a relaxing stay. Being located inside the park was a huge advantage for us. We will def consider staying at one of your properties again next time we make a trip to Yosemite.

Perfect location.. it was beautiful.. fully stocked home. A little too close to other houses, butstill great. A couple of the heaters didn't work was really the only issue. I would definitely stay here again. Very close to everything for enjoying the mountains!

Five friends who went to college together 45 years ago. Never been to Yosemite. Papa Bear Cabin was great, being in the Park was great, being near Mariposa was great. Five days in the Park, saw all the sights, hiked easy and moderate trails, fantastic.

We were very pleased with our stay. Papa Bear Cabin was very clean, comfortable, and at a great location. We wished we could have stayed a whole week there! Feedback for Scenic Wonders: thank you for sharing this cozy cabin with us. Your instructions were perfect and we appreciate the notebook with sightseeing tips. This was a family vacation with my father, my son and daughter-in-law and my grandson. Four generations ages 9 - 88 where we tried to find activities in the park appropriate for all of our ages. Everyone had a marvelous time viewing the waterfalls and massive rock formations. My father especially enjoyed Mariposa Grove where we were able to park in a handicap area, so that he had access to the Grizzly Giant, California Tunnel and Fallen Monarch trees. While my father spent time in Yosemite Village at the Visitor Center, Museum and Ansel Adams gallery, the rest of us hiked to the Vernal Falls viewing area on the bridge over the Merced River.

Easy booking and check-in/out process. Cabin was amazingly clean, well-stocked and comfortable. WiFi and Satellite worked fantastic! Only things I would consider enhancing would be to add more dinner plates and supply a reasonable batch of firewood. Overall it was a great location!

Very spacious, extremely well equipped property in a good location. Comfy beds, good showers Communication excellent and very easy check in and will recommend. The only improvements would be to have a washing machine and a few more dinner plates. Otherwise perfect.
