Description
Welcome to the Fiske Cabin! This spacious, split-level duplex home is located on the mountain side of Yosemite Park Way, which has great forest views in Yosemite West.
The lower level features the Living Room, Dining Room, Kitchen and Master bedroom with a king bed and Bath, with an open floor plan that promotes friendly interaction. The kitchen is fully-equipped, with all the amenities, everything but the food!
The full-size kitchen is stocked with amenities such as coffee, tea, sugar, dry creamer, spices, paper goods and all cooking utensils and tools. The outside deck, accessed from the living room, is equipped with a gas BBQ and chairs for cozy seclusion amid the trees of the lovely forest. The upper level features a loft overlooking the area below-a nice getaway for solitary pursuits. A bedroom with a queen size bed and another bedroom with two full-size beds and bath, for additional accommodation. Satellite televisions, downstairs with DVD players.

The cabin was great. I have stayed at many places. Having some more bas9c cooking essentials would be great-oils etc. Maybe more dishes so not to have to run dishwasher every night.

Lovely house, super spacious and lots of amenities! Lots of room for parking and lots of beautiful big windows. Lovely to sit out on the deck and look at the wildlife and the trees.

Had a great time and liked the location between the valley and Mariposa. My one complaint would be the lack of Wi-Fi - not even for pc use but we had no cell signal to even call/text home to check on things.

Home was more beautiful in person and had every detail covered for a comfortable stay. Comfortable beds, quality linens and towels, and spotless! Kitchen was fully equipped with new pots and pans and utensils. Beautiful view from all windows. Definitely recommend!

The accommodations were above and beyond what we expected. The beds were all comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked with every item we could need, and most appeared to be new as well. The history of George Fiske, which we knew nothing about before our stay was fascinating, and the fact that Larry, the owner went to the lengths he did decorating and documenting Fiske’s history with Yosemite was an added bonus for the photographers in our family. Loved that the location was inside the park so we could move about freely without the lines at the gate. Could not recommend Fiske Cabin any more than fantastic, and if this is representative of all of your properties, bravo! Have all ready started recommending Scenic Wonders to friends & family as we tell them they HAVE to go to Yosemite.

Our stay was great. The shower heads were a little low and difficult to use. There was also no Wifi which we knew about but ended up being kind of a pain because ATT had no service but Verizon did.

We had a great time and the location was super too. This was like being at home, almost everything we needed was there. A short list of ideas for maintenance (little things not noticed because nobody lives there) and extra conveniences, was left behind to enhance future customer experiences.

Not much constructive criticism here! We had a simply wonderful stay at the Fiske Cabin. The amenities were great. The heat was pretty brutal, but to be expected in August. The fans were powerful and made the heat manageable. The outdoor furniture could be updated/more comfortable, but that’s my only improvement suggestion. Thank you for a great stay and sharing your treasured natural resource with us.

We had a great time staying at the “Fiske” cabin. It was very well set up and plenty of room for our families. I couldn’t figure out how to make the gas fireplace work and we had almost no internet wifi reception. Overall, we had a great time and would definitely recommend this place.

This stay was amazing! We loved this house. Everything was perfect. We had plenty of supplies to cook with. The beds were extremely comfortable and the views were gorgeous. We wish it would have been available for the entire three days we were in the area.

Place was better than expected. Everything was clean and ready to go when we arrived (and we arrived early just to drop food off). The kitchen was equipment with everything we needed to cook dinner etc. Very spacious and a nice area. Way better than having to drive to a hotel outside of the park. Neighbors were a little loud one night, but it was fine.

The place was really nice, clean, & very spacious. Very calm location. We had everything we needed. Larry, the maintenance guy from next door, was very kind, helpful & friendly.
The beds were not super comfortable, but we still had an excellent stay. Everything in the comments from previous renters was true. ???????? And we lucked out with fantastic weather, too!

We loved the house except for one thing. We had a hard time regulating the heat. Woke in the night too hot and had to turn off heat completely. Then woke too cold. There isn't a thermostat in this house; it's either on or off (by room). Hard to manage.

Great location, close to the entrance/exit for the park so we didn't deal with the traffic. The Fiske Cabin is very comfortable and responded quickly when we had issues with the fireplace. The place was clean with plenty of parking spaces. Could use some more signs upon turning into the street because it's kind of hard to see the road, especially in the dark.

Fiske Cabin is comfortable and spacious. The location is very convenient to Yosemite Valley.
When we arrived at the house on a pleasant May evening, we were alarmed to find there was a power outage in all of Yosemite West, just as it was getting dark. Once we got a hold of Yosemite Scenic Wonders, they were very helpful and provided us with pen lights and extra batteries to get through the night.
After the power came back on, everything worked well at the house. Although we barely used it, the deck is a beautiful spot to sit and look out at the sunset through the trees.

It was an amazing experience. The cabin was clean and well equipped. The temperature was perfect inside the cabin for a cold winter. It snowed while we were there, and before the snow storm, the owner came and warned us. We were able to put the snow chains before, so when we left the cabin we had no problem.

We came to Fiske Cabin from San Jose, with family from Michigan who had never been to Yosemite, before. It was an awesome experience. We have stayed in other house rentals around the country and found this one to be absolutely perfect for this trip and experience. The only thing we couldn't figure out was how to work the TV, which was fine, since we all enjoyed reading on the deck. Maybe written instructions, included in the info book, would be helpful. I believe this is our 10th stay in a SW property; 8 in the loft condos, 2 in cabins. The Fiske cabin was very nice, the kitchen was well stocked, and when we asked for help with something we received it promptly. We will probably continue coming back to SW.

The initial entry and final exit to/from the cabin was easy. The cabin was clean and well maintained. Towels were clean. There were adequate number of cutlery, etc. One item that could be improved was the shower head in both bathrooms - they need to be replaced with better ones. Also, recycle options being available would be good for items like bottles, cans etc.

Nice cabin. We had two families of 3 and plenty of space for all of us. The owner came in the last day with a contractor and was taking measurements to remodel the kitchen and bathrooms which are in need of a nice updated remodel. Everything functioned and worked well.
