Description
Surrounded by cedar and oak trees and just 12 miles from the South-Gate entrance to Yosemite National Park, this lovely cabin on the hill, with a private wraparound deck and private patio, is the ideal mountain getaway. The spacious park like setting offers room for you and your family to play and explore. Whether it is a rousing game of tetherball, a competitive game of horseshoes, an invigorating ride on a 1910 exercise bike, or a relaxing time on the tree or bench swings, this will be a place where memories are made.
This top unit in the duplex property cabin features a large private deck overlooking a lush forested yard. This convenient location is near Yosemite, 4 miles from hiking, fishing and water sports at Bass Lake, within 4 miles of supermarkets, pharmacies, a movie theater, shopping, and antique shops, and 12 miles from entertainment at a large Indian casino. Children can enjoy the large play area here or can walk down the hill to the private community park and swimming hole (with parent supervision).
This newly renovated and newly furnished 3 bedroom, 2 bath property is equipped with: a master bedroom with a Cal. King bed, LED smart TV with satellite and Netflix and an adjoining bathroom. The second bedroom has a Queen size bed. The third room has a full over full size bunk bed and LED TV with satellite and Netflix. There is a second full bathroom in the hallway and an HE washer and dryer with detergent provided. Bed linens and towels are also provided. In the living room there are two couches (one with a queen size sofa bed that is not recommended for adults) and two recliners. The wood burning fireplace adds to the mountain atmosphere and may be used during designated burn season. Free WiFi is provided and you can watch a movie with the family on the large LED TV or have a family game night (games and cards provided). The dining table has seating for 8. The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need to cook a perfect family meal, including a large refrigerator with icemaker, microwave, full size range, dishwasher with detergent, coffee maker, waffle maker, crock pot, coffee, tea, sugar, and some spices. A gas BBQ grill and picnic tables are located on your private patio. This cabin sleeps 8 comfortably (4 adults and 4 children recommended for your comfort). This home has air conditioning and central heating.

The cabin was just adorable. Very clean, welcoming, perfect for families. It had a lot of spirit and good energy. Great outside play area. All bathrooms very clean… We stayed there with 3 kids and absolutely loved it. It also has very convenient access to both Yosemite and Bass lake…we highly recommend it! We will definitely be back…

It was difficult to cook with some cooking appliances because they were nonstick.

The first night we arrived around 11:00 pm, there were no enough hot water. The shower didnt get enough water pressure so we couldnt take a shower after a long drive. The next day was good.

The home we originally booked was unavailable due to a plumbing problem but we were immediately switched to another home right next door to our son's place. We appreciated the thoughtfulness in keeping us close to each other and the prompt way the problem was handled. The home we stayed in was well stocked and very clean and comfortable. The walk up the hill from my son's place and the stairs was a challenge for this 75yr old with a bad back but I did it with the help of family. We hope to come back in May but are thinking of renting a house big enough for the whole family, 14 or 15 of us. We will be sure to contact you at that time.

This was my family’s first time to Bass Lake and staying here definitely elevated our experience. House is just as described, clean and spacious, offering a fully stocked kitchen if you are one who prefers to cook while on vacation. Loved the outdoor charm as well. Would definitely book again!

Cedar Mountain Lodge was a near ideal destination for staying in Oakhurst, en route to Yosemite.
Location-wise, it is excellent. There are nearby supermarkets and gas stations, which allowed us easy access to good food and produce and the neighborhood is friendly and neat.
In terms of the actual accommodations, things were near ideal. The three bedrooms (and two bathrooms) were the perfect size for our family and the temperature control allowed us to keep the place at a comfortable warmth/coolness throughout our stay. The additional swing sets, outdoor games, book library and deck seating allowed our little one plenty of activity in the apartment. And the kitchen, living room and dining room were spacious and lovely (and the flatscreen TV's in two bedrooms and the common area were another bonus).
We highly recommend these accommodations.

This AirBnB was very clean, organized, and had all facilities needed for a comfortable stay (bedding was clean, bathrooms were tidy with towels readily available, the living room was cozy and spacious, and the kitchen was beautiful. The only downside was the fan didn't work in the main living room and it would have been nice to just turn the fan on instead of turn the AC to a cooler temperature. Overall a great place to stay and a beautiful home in a beautiful part of Oakhurst!
