Lovely little cabin that is 12 miles from the south Yosemite entrance and can’t beat the price when comparing to staying in park. That said, because we were there during peak season getting into the park was difficult due to the long lines to get in the gate. We did find if we waited until after 2pm there was no line and still plenty of time to explore. We ended up exploring Bass Lake one morning and found the most amazing swimming hole along the WillowCreek/Angel Falls trail. We then drove right in the gate in late afternoon and did the mariposa grove trail. Highly recommend that and the Sentinel Dome trail. At the top you get a panoramic view of El Capitan, Yosemite Falls, Half Dome and Glacier Falls. Truly a once in a lifetime view. We wished we had an extra one or two days to do more exploring. I really believe you could fill your days for a full week!
