Bruins Den is a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom family friendly cabin located in the historic town of Wawona. Enjoy this light filled cabin, perfect for the whole family. The large kitchen is fully equipped to make gourmet meals. It is open to the dining room and living room so everyone can be close by. This cabin may accommodate up to 8 guests.
Your opportunity to rent a beautiful cabin in Yosemite National Park in the quaint town of Wawona awaits. This comfortable family friend home situated 5 miles from Yosemite's South Gate will welcome you with the warmth of wood accents, large windows providing forest views, a large updated kitchen that opens into a dining and living space and thoughtfully well-spaced bedrooms including a master bedroom with en suite bath and a kids room with bunk beds. More than 1000 sq ft of decking provides ample space to relax outdoors in the summer or to build a snowman in the winter. Enjoy a hike to the river or Chilnualna Falls; visit the Wawona library and historic pioneer town, have dinner at the nearby Big Trees hotel and golf course. Being insideYosemite National Park, you have so much more to enjoy -- The Valley Floor, Glacier Point (within 45 minutes drive), Yosemite Ski & Snowboard Area (within 30-35 minutes drive), and Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias (reopening 2017).
The first bedroom has a queen bed. The second room has a twin over twin and a twin over full futon bunk bed, there is a TV with Direct TV satellite and a DVD player. The master bedroom has a king bed and its own private bathroom. The living room hosts a large LED TV with Direct TV. Enjoy a BBQ on the large deck, we provide the propane. There is a ping pong on the deck for fun evening games, please note this table is available during summer only. This home has wifi and long distance calling in the continental US so you can stay connected on your trip. There is a convenience store walking distance from the home where you can pick up any last minute items you may have missed. Centrally located and full of family amenities, The Bruins Den is the perfect place for your family getaway.

Place was very large and clean. The ping pong table, bbq, games and rafts were hugely appreciated.
Beds were comfy.
There was no hot water in the master bedroom and the lack of shampoo and cooking oil was not great . We came prepared because I read Airbnb reviews

Clear instructions were provided regarding check-in and out procedures. The cabin was very clean and all the kitchen essentials needed were provided. The games were a nice bonus. Everyone enjoyed playing ping pong!

We really enjoyed our stay and the place. As in my review on Air B&B, the only thing we would suggest is the additional rocking chairs, some available shampoo and some oil for cooking. The rest was awesome

Great stay at Bruins Den. Very clean house, well stocked. Nice deck to sit while cooking for dinner. We ran out of propane, called the office, someone delivered new tank within 20 minutes. Thank you for making our visit to Yosemite such a wonderful experience!

Great house for our Yosemite trip! Located within Yosemite National Park which is a huge time saver. The deck was great for family meals and morning cups of coffee/tea! The house was clean, kitchen stocked, and beds were comfortable. I would highly recommend this house.

I have been traveling and staying in rental homes for the past year straight and this one was easily my favorite. The cleanest home we have been in without a doubt, there werent even spider webs on the deck furniture, I was legitimately impressed. Everything was exactly as described or better. The bedding was extremely comfortable and high quality, everything we needed was available (except a can opener), the deck is huge, open, and clean, the furniture was high end and comfortable. I hate leaving great reviews for places because the next time I look to book they are more expensive or not available, but this one definitely earned it.

The place was amazing! And incredibly clean, we spend our New Year’s eve there and it was amazing, everything was really well taken care of! Everything you might need is already provided, the kitchen is fully supplied, also the bathrooms. One of our favorite areas was the kitchen, we came to gather there everyday after coming back for outside. We loved it! Definitely coming back.

Everything we needed was there—especially in the kitchen. The home was very clean when we arrived and the home was lovely.
One suggestion would be to put heavier blankets or comforters on the beds.

We had a great time at Bruins Den—it had everything we needed (more cookware, supplies, games, etc than expected). It was hot from around lunchtime to dinner time but the fans helped. Would be great to have AC at least in one of the rooms to get a little respite from the heat.

Great place with a fairly close proximity to Yos Valley (about 30 mins) which is as close as you can get without staying in the park. No ac which is probably not a problem but it was 90 when we where there so we about burnt up. It was all good though. Great time.

This is a beautiful home. Great indoor and outdoor space. Only thing I noticed was that faucet in kitchen needs tightening and floors creek (don't expect you can do anything about this). I would DEFINITELY stay here again.

We had an amazing stay at Bruins Den. The cabin was super clean, fully stocked with clean towels, blender, coffee maker, etc. We grilled every night on the deck and the grill worked great. The cabin is so cozy with the open floor plan. We spent so much time hanging around the kitchen island. We would definitely stay here again!

The size of the place was perfect for 2 families with kids. It was clean and and had comfortable beds (it was a plus after a long days hike). The place had lots of cooking utensils available, we were able to use the grill for burgers. It took one hour and a half to go to to Yosemite. We would definitely recommend and go back.

The den had everything we needed and was very homely. The smoke from the Ferguson fire was heavy some days but we weren’t affected in the house and could still go and do the things we wanted to do (even if some of the views were a bit hazy!).

The house was a delight, and we felt instantly at home and comfortable. Spotlessly clean, spacious, and every appliance and convenience needed was provided, as well as nice linens and other practical household items. The washer and dryer were huge, and we made good use of them. Our 4 grandchildren loved the kids' bunks and the BEARS! The deck and yard were just the right size for our 2 younger grandsons to explore without our having them out of our vision. It was great being near the historical village, blacksmith shop and horse stables as well.
Our only problem was that the Gas Grill needs a gauge on its tank. Fire kept going out on grill so I called someone for help and the person who came got the fire going,but it went out again soon after he left. I found out that the problem was that the tank was empty. Grills without tank gauges need the info that empty tanks are light and full tanks are heavy. The person who came to help never checked the tank and spoke virtually no English, so communication was a problem. We will definitely recommend your venue to friends who go every few years to Yosemite. Thanks, Bill and Lynn McCue

We had a wonderful stay in a beautiful location and we loved being so close to the Mariposa Groves and the horse stables. The place was very clean and the beds were comfortable. Our girls loved the window nook with all the bears and the bunk beds. We will definitely recommend to everyone.
