Description

Bears Den & Little Bear is a duplex home has 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.The BearsDen upper floor has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and sleeps eight comfortably. There is no connection from one unit to the other from the inside.
The Bears Den upper floor has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and sleeps eight comfortably. The master bedroom has a California King bed and the other two bedrooms each have queen beds, and there is a queen sofa bed in the living room. The master bath has a stall shower and the 2nd bathroom has a shower over the tub. Granite counters are in both baths. The spacious kitchen has granite counters and top of the line stainless steel appliances. The cabinets are knotty alder rustic appearance. There is a very large peninsula bar with 4 bar stools. The dining table comfortably seats 8. The living room has a gas fireplace with a river rock surround, hearth and mantle. The living room, dining room and kitchen are open and airy with a vaulted pine ceiling. The living room has a bookshelf/entertainment center with flat screen TV equipped with built-in DVD/CD player, and is hooked up to satellite. The many windows look out to the large front deck with a forest view. A gas BBQ is available for outdoor cooking.

The Little Bears Den is located on the lower floor and has 2 bedrooms and 1 bath with a shower over the tub. This bathroom also has a granite counter. Each bedroom has a queen bed and sleeps 4 comfortably. The charming living room/dining room combo has a dining nook that will accommodate 4 people. There is a propane wood stove in the living room. There is a flat screen TV equipped with built-in DVD/CD player and is hooked up to satellite. The kitchen has granite counter tops, oak cabinets and top of the line stainless steel appliances. Satellite WiFi is available but is not fast enough to support video streaming and video calling.

Parking is all on paved, concrete driveway and will accommodate 5 vehicles over summer months, 3 over parking spots over winter months for Bears Den. For your safety, there are motion sensor lights and low voltage lights outdoors.

We had a great stay. Everything was great, except the oven downstairs wouldnt heat up. Otherwise, we were comfortable and had everything we needed for an enjoyable Thanksgiving vacation.

Very nice, clean, roomy property. Great deck with a nice Weber barbecue grill. Bathrooms are roomy & attractive. The kitchen is nice, but the number of glasses provided is minimal for a unit this size. The WIFI was a little sketchy at first, but later on worked well. The property description says the table will seat 8 comfortably, but it really seats 6 adults. There arent even 8 chairs for the table. One thing that surprised me is their are NO laundry facilities. One of the upper bedroom windows is missing a screen.

Wonderful stay. Very clean and found everything we needed onsite. Unable to circulate air in the evenings indoors, which made nights a bit uncomfortable, but lack of A/C was clearly advertised.

Best experience we have had with a home rental. It was very clean spacious and fully equipped. We were close enough to all the hikes we wanted to to take, making the trip very enjoyable. We had an issue with the dishwasher, I called Scenic wonders and the team was there in minutes. I was beyond impressed.

The stay was great, but had some inconveniences. 1. The upper and lower levels were not connected internally. Was extremely inconvenient to move between them especially in the night. 2. No A/C. The days were super hot and the fans did not help in cooling the house. We ended up getting out to keep cool in the valley. The goal was to spend some good family time together and we were forced to be on the road to keep cool.

The place is great! Clean, spacious, has a lot of large rooms. It is located close to the scenice areas. The house has a deck with beautiful view. It has bbq grill and outside patio dining area. It has lots of cooking equipments, extra pillows and beddings. It was a great experience and we hope to come back again in Yosemite with Scenic Wonders!

We all really liked our stay at Bears Den. The location was perfect and the house, beautiful. Nice to get away from the valley floor and the traffic.We loved sitting on the patio and watching the deer go by. All beds were good, and the kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans. The kids liked the cocoa. We would recommend the house to anyone.

All good. Great stay. Would suggest few board games etc for the round the table for families to enjoy after dinner. Last place we did stay at last year was excellent with this. Please make sure the Many stairs stand out when people check this out as we did have our nan with us and lucky she was able to do these stairs. That could be an issue for some people. Note,I could have read but did not stand out to me when reading

Great check in process and very comfortable house!! The only suggested improvement I can think of is to add recycling options (I think our only option was to throw everything into the trash) and add more check out instructions (we weren't sure if we were supposed to strip beds or where to leave towels). Thanks for an amazing stay!

The house was great, very comfortable for 2 extended families with grown children. Great location. It a very nice that the property provided incidentals like coffee, tea, soaps, paper toilets/toilet paper. Stayed 2 nights but would recommend staying a minimum of 3 nights. Would stay again.

Management was helpful and reassuring. Place was spotless clean. The areas is wonderful. The mattress my wife and I happened to sleep on sank in the middle, so it was very uncomfortable. Besides that everything was great.

I was very impressed with the quality of the house both upstairs and downstairs and most of all the cleanliness. I was very impressed by the helpfulness of the person I talked when I called to ask for the laundry room to be opened (this was so quick) and where to put the recycle type bottles. The one thing I was confused on what to do were the 2 envelopes for those who cleaned the units. I booked the entire house, upstairs and downstairs, and only upon checking to make sure our 4 adult children cleaned up downstairs before we locked up, did I find a tip envelope downstairs like the one I found upstairs. Because there were 2 envelopes but I was paying for both, I just took part of the money from the envelope I left upstairs and put it in the envelope downstairs even if the tip was all from myself. But, I loved this unit and we were so happy to have found this for our first vacation in Yosemite! Thank you.
