Just built in 2016 and only 20 minutes from Yosemite Valley! Enjoy beautiful sunsets, canyon views and native black oaks at this chalet inside the gates of Yosemite National Park. Every detail in this custom-built home blends the warmth of the craftsman style with the simplicity of modern design. Energy efficient features and custom furniture sourced from locally salvaged wood makes your stay a green choice too. ONLY 1 CAR, 4wd/Awd with tire chains required for the driveway in Winter.
This chalet accommodates 2-8 guests with a master suite with king beds, second bedroom with 2 queen beds, 2 full baths, a well-equipped kitchen, living room with sofa bed, generous dining room table and outdoor deck with gas BBQ. Efficient heating and air conditioning customizable for each room, cozy gas fireplace and heated bathroom tile floors provides comfort in any season. Starlink Satellite WIFI internet and cable TV is available.
This chalet is one of three similar homes nestled on the mountainside overlooking the Merced River Canyon in Yosemite West. Each home provides secluded privacy perfect for a family. Reserve all three for a larger reunion of friends and family. All Alpenglow Retreat Chalets book up quickly and groups are encouraged to reserve well in advance. There are 2 parking spots during summer, 1 parking spot during fall, winter and spring. 4wd/Awd with tire chains required for the driveway in Winter early Spring.

Excellent experience with this rental. Exactly as described and the best-equipped rental home we have encountered. The location is superb! Being within the Yosemite entrance gates saved us HOURS of time with the summer weekend crowded.

Great place. Wonderful service. My only gripe would be the check in and check out times. 4pm seems too late and 10am seems too early. Suggest changing to check in time of 3pm and a check out time of 11am at least.

We loved our stay at Alpenglow 1, in Yosemite west. Best thing about it is it’s 30 mins far from Yosemite valley, great location. Featured with all the modern features and amenities within the property it made us feel home away from our home. I would certainly love to stay over again in the future if circumstances allows us to do so.

The property was amazing, clean, well-stocked, and management provided us with some extra time to wait out a snow storm that closed the roads on check out day! That accommodation from management was beyond exceptional service (as they didn’t not have to allow us to stay in the property another night) and will be the reason we book direct with scenic wonders during our next stay at Yosemite!

This was a yearly 'girl' trip of 6 long time friends who get together in different places throughout the USA. It was perfect for us. Two of us rented a place in 2015 and we loved it. We left in the morning for the day and came back in the evening to have dinner and sleep. We we glad there was not a lot of stairs because 2 of women just had knee surgery. We all talked about the other places where you saw the long stairs one would need to climb. Don't build too much and lose the environment ....don't want to look out at another house in every direction...and there was a loud party at one with music and we didn't like that in light of the location where we were. All in all, we had a wonderful experience.

Our cabin home was fantastic for our stay in Yosemite. It was clean and spacious and close to many of the attractions for our day exploring. The home had all the required amenities as well as some extras which made our stay the most comfortable of everywhere we visited in the US

Family getaway to Yosemite. Wanted to be near the Valley and also close to Big Trees Lodge for dining. Alpenglow was perfect! Great accommodations for 4 adults and 1 toddler. Enjoyed playing games and putting together a puzzle. Kitchen had everything (except a wine opener) for preparing a nice pasta meal. We hope to return.

We are from the UK and we were fully impressed by how well equipt Alpenglow 1 was - a smoothie maker, coffee maker - even a kettle. We were in heaven.
Only minor grumble would be the mattress - it was almost too firm, but it might be perfect for the next guest.
We would definitely recommend though.

Overall, everything was perfect. The cabin had everything we needed during our stay and the cabin itself was beautiful. Very nicely done. Proximity to all locations was great.
Only recommendation is to leave a few more roles of toilet paper in each cabin.

The place was gorgeous! The beds were so comfortable and the home was very clean. We really enjoyed our stay and wish we could have stayed longer! Excellent/convenient location to both the valley and glacier point. Checking in was simple with the door code right at the home. I do wish we could have checked in an hour earlier, but the policy is very clear.
