Yosemite Beauty Update

Friends I greet you from Yosemite March 1, 2015 Saturday's storm brought rain to Yosemite Valley; snow line was at Grouse Creek. Yosemite West at 6000' received a few inches. There were lots of people taking pictures at Tunnel View this Sunday morning as I drove to the Valley. Myself included. The mountains were whitened by the snow. Lofty Half Dome was beautifully capped with snow. The hanging valley above Bridalveil Fall was luxurious. The lush green reminds me of Ireland. The Three Graces above Bridalveil Fall appeared, well, graceful. Checking on Ribbon Fall...her mist had frozen into snow along the fall's path. Simply beautiful. The Indian Pounding Rocks collected rain water and froze over night. Beautiful.

Yosemite Falls...falling beautifully...

A visit to Lower Yosemite Fall found some Park visitors enjoying the mesmerizing beauty of the powerful waterfall. The clouds contained beauteous colors...ethereal. The irised clouds are like an inspired painting. The swells of the clouds...reminded me of music...a crescendo....I hear the music swelling... I see the waves of the clouds swelling.... How can I keep from singing??? While jogging along the El Cap portion on the North Valley Loop trail, I found many people enjoying the fresh air....and a family of does...feeding on the freshly watered vegetation. Nature and Beauty make fresh my heart, as well. The nooks and crannies of Yosemite's southern cli?s were extremely pretty with white highlights of snow. The yellow pine tree's bark looked swell...as it was swelled with rain water. One special couple along the trail said they come up to the Park often...This morning, they had started their Valley Loop hike at Bridalveil Fall...they were collecting memories, pictures, and thrash...good Samaritans. Posted...today...Yosemite Park RockClimbing route closures...more later... As I drove home....the snow flurries returned. Sunday... the sun...rejoicing...the storm...calmed to a whisper... the rain above the clouds...the clouds...the snow...the mist...all cli?s...all trees...all creatures....all spoke of beauty. John Muir... "...Bathed in such beauty, watching the expressions ever varying on the faces of the mountains,....listening to the songs of the waters and winds and birds, would be endless pleasure. And what glorious cloudlands I should see...." "The morning stars still sing together, and the world, not yet half made, becomes more beautiful every day." The Scenic Wonders guests woke up this morning to a pretty sky...and departed with a beautiful dusting of snow scattered across the landscape. Stay in a warm cozy Scenic Wonders cabin.
