As the winter storms approach, all of Yosemite's creeks and rivers are being refilled. Thus, the waterfalls are coming back to life! Yosemite Falls has been jump-started by 7 inches of rain in the past week, with more on the way Thursday, Friday and early next week.

Ski Conditions and Weather

This week saw a welcome change from the dry weather that has dominated the winter so far. Although the Tuolumne Meadows area did not receive the soaking that much of the rest of California did, the 14 inches of yosemite snow that fell over the course of the week vastly improved moods and ski conditions.

 

New snow:

14 inches

Total settled snow depth:

10 inches (at 8,600 feet)

High temperature:

 36°F (January 19)

Low temperature:

14°F (January 19)
