A couple of picnic tables, a beautiful creek, lodgepole pine trees, granite slabs, fresh air, wildflowers, picturesque scenery, a good appetite after an early morning hike, and on this day glorious colorful clouds. The picnic tables along the creek provide the perfect spot to enjoy a pleasurable outing to eat an outdoor meal. The flat gray granite slab at creekside also makes a fine picnic spot.
So I packed a picnic lunch to picnic at the picnic table at Bridalveil Creek and was not let down but, only felt uplifted by the storm clouds...who were announcing a storm. I love approaching storms. The usual cast of characters, clouds sometimes filled with rainbow hues the wind the perfect temperature which remains perfect as the temperature is dropping.
Just the thought of a spring storm....I felt John Muir's wise words.
"The winds will blow their their own freshness into you, and the storms their energy"
At the picnic site, time to take pictures.

glossy of a glossy flower, buttery yellow flowers growing near the creek they are moisture loving.
Buttercups belong to the genus Ranunculus which is latin for
little frog as frogs share the same habitat. Notice its 5 petalled blossoms notice the GLOSSY shine of its petals. Buttercups are one of the first flowers of springtime. Spring time would lose something of its joy...if not for these early blooming yellow flowers that brighten up the river bank which has been brown and bare for months.
Bridealveil Creek with reflection, time to reflect on things that matter...inspiration...whispers.....the world seems a million miles away. Clouds smiling in color, A gift of beauty....the clouds....that make everything more beautiful, clouds beaming with smiles across the sky....the colors contained in the clouds as the light catches it at the right moment...rainbow beams in the clouds...hues of colors...pinks..and blues....peaches....and all the against a hued gray sky.
On this day...............
- Like the buttercup shining among the plants.
- Like the sun's rays shining among the clouds.
- Like the colorful clouds shining among the other clouds.
- Like rainbow colors appearing across the gray clouded sky.
- Like frogs singing in full harmony...not sounding as if they had a frog in the throat.
- Like a buttercup...a little frog as they are called in latin...on the banks of the creek.
- Like the blossoms on the branches in springtime
One's soul felt the splendor of Nature and our hearts are all untroubled, we will cherish this delightful day, a pleasurable outing to eat an outdoor meal on the picnic table at Bridalveil Creek. A simple picnic with buttercups....and frogs
As I write this blog post, I glance out the window.....finally take a picture...which may or may not get posted....all the hues of a beautiful sunset....yellow, pink....purple.....against a sky with dark and light blues......and in the foreground highlights of blossoming dogwoods which look like freshly fallen snowflakes.....as the light fades away for this delightful day.
In the evening from your Scenic Wonder's cabin....be sure to watch the evening sky....that is after you cook up a family meal......which followed your simply delightful and simple picnic lunch on the picnic table at Bridalveil Creek....with buttercups and frogs.
