The beauty of Yosemite National Park changes with the seasons. If you travel to Yosemite in the summer, you will experience hikes over a sun baked trail and a warm breeze that drifts through the valley.

If you travel in winter, you will gaze at frost sticking to the mountains and snowflakes that fall over Half Dome. By planning your trip today, you can prepare for your ideal Yosemite getaway. Yosemite is never a great distance from any U.S. city. After taking a road trip from home, or renting a car at the airport, you only need to pay a nominal fee to enter the park gates. Yosemite offers beautiful scenery to keep you amazed around every bend.

If you’re not an outdoors-person, Yosemite offers spacious cabins for you and your family to stay in throughout your visit. After sleeping in a warm bed and making your own breakfast, spend your mornings taking a long hike through Tunnel View or Glacier Point. When you’ve gotten as much exercise and views as you can handle, visit the park’s educational resources like the Indian Culture Exhibit and the Ansel Adams Gallery. If you can’t get enough of Yosemite, explore places outside the valley as well.

Badger Pass, BassLake and the giant sequoias of Mariposa Grove all deserve their own day trip.
