Description
Located in a very secluded area of our community at the end of a cul-de-sac, this 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom, tri-level redwood cabin charms you the moment you arrive, with its alpine decor and modern conveniences.
Enter this wonderful home at mid-level, the main floor, and you will be greeted into a large dining room area that has a wood burning stove fireplace, with a modern kitchen that has sliding glass doors that open out onto a large outdoor second story deck with a gas grill. The deck has incredible views of the mountains. This floor also has a cozy living room, with a full bathroom, a satellite TV/DVD.
The top level has two bedrooms, one is a large master bedroom with a king size bed, and the other a dormer room with two twin beds, with a private balcony. In the hallway there is a 1/2 bathroom. The lower level has the 2nd bedroom, with 2 bunk beds. There is also a table for puzzles, art projects, and game playing, with a second satellite TV and DVD player, perfect for the kids! An enclosed laundry area with a washer and dryer is also located on this lower level. Edelweiss is surrounded by Yosemite sugar pines and has great mountainside views of the forest There is 3 parking spots over the summer months, and 1 parking spot over winter months, November through April.

The home was much more than what we needed for 2 people. We found it to be clean and well equipped. If the owner would kindly consider one kitchen item, as travelers wouldnt have this item usually....cooking oil would be awesome.

Was a great home. Easy check in, great location, well stocked kitchen for at home cooking. The only thing that would be nice is having a small bottle of cooking oil - I suspect I am not the first to forget that.

The accommodations were very nice. Wish it was closer to the valley, but that doesn’t mean the house wasn’t nice. We had a nice stay, and we appreciated the amenities. We forgot to report that there was some sort of critter living in the space above the master bedroom ceiling.

This cabin was perfect for our family of four to stay at while exploring Yosemite over a long weekend. It was close to the park, clean and comfy. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed making dinners in the evening and playing games (which we brought).

Edelweis provided beautiful views of Yosemite. The house was clean and well kept. The rooms were spacious and provided the number of beds advertised. The kitchen and bathrooms were recently updated. Linens and towels were provided. There was ample kitchenware to prepare meals.

I loved this home. I don't think the pictures do the home justice. We stay in vacation rentals frequently throughout the year and I was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness and overall cute decor of the home. The kitchen, bathrooms, flooring and windows all seem to be recently updated. We went to the park during the recent heatwave, so it was very hot and this home, like most of the homes in the area, did not have A/C. The rental company/housekeeping did have the fans running when we arrived. The rental process, check in and check out were very easy! There is no wifi in the area. I appreciated Scenic Wonders checking in on us via phone call to the home's landline and knowing we could make a call to them if we had any questions. As noted in previous reviews, the driveway/stairs to the home is very steep. Our van was not able to make the steep incline. Not sure if smaller cars could manage the incline during the winter months if the roads became wet or icy. So we parked in the spots available at the bottom of the property next to the road. We didn't mind the walk up the driveway or the steps leading to the house. But it might be troublesome to some. The home is located on the edge of the Yosemite West community so it is a little farther of a drive off the 41. It was still a good location and allowed us guaranteed entry into the park. Again, it was a cute and clean home and I would be happy to stay there again.

We booked online and received confirmation and directions as well as information on how to enter park and how to gain access to home. Everything went smooth, we found the house and had no issues. The house was spacious and well equipped, and location was phenomenal. Yosemite was amazing, and there was very little if any traffic on roads, wait times to get into grocery and other stores was minimal. Wide open spaces made it a very magical experience. Feel very lucky to have stumbled upon Scenic Wonders and to have had such a once-in-a-lifetime experience in Yosemite.

I didn't see the iron in the closet upstairs so called when we checked in (we were in the park for a wedding) and a brand new ironing board and an iron were dropped off very quickly, excellent service. The place was as described and well appointed, we would definitely stay again and hope to be able to.

Our house, Edelweiss, was perfectly placed in the forrest. Coming form Europe it was nice to find a fully equipped house with everything from clean towels to coffee.
We were six people and had plenty of space for all of us - and all our luggage.

Plenty of room for 6 adults. The cabin had the amenities we needed and was close to the hikes we wanted. There was an issue with the sliding glass door, but nothing we couldn't work around. Overall a great stay.

Accomodation fee is affordable though it is very close to Yosemite valley. The cabin includes everything we want.

The house is roomy and well furnished.
But it was too hot to sleep in the upstairs master bedroom, even though high temperatures in the Valley were only mid-80s... The fans didn't draw air into the house well, and the early morning temp was still in the mid-60s.
Also could not get up the driveway without bottoming out, so had to park in the space below.

The home was lovely. It was very comfortable for two adults and 3 children. The house, unfortunately, had a steep driveway and a flight of stairs to the front door. I believe there was miscommunication when I made the initial reservation by phone. I specifically asked for a house with limited steps. In the future when I use this service again, I plan to pay close attention to the type of home that I reserve. The house was lovely, immaculate, and comfortable. The location on a hill gave us incredible views.
