Climbers Retreat is one half of a duplex and is located inside Yosemite National Park in a small private development called Yosemite West. The home is centrally located to many of the Park's major attractions: Yosemite Valley is 20 minutes away - Glacier Point is 25-30 minutes - The Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoia Trees is 35 minutes and Yosemite Ski & Snowboard Resort is located 8 miles away. Climbers Retreat is one half of a duplex and is located inside Yosemite National Park in a small private development called Yosemite West. The home is centrally located to many of the Park's major attractions: Yosemite Valley is 20 minutes away - Glacier Point is 25-30 minutes - The Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoia Trees is 35 minutes and Yosemite Ski & Snowboard Resort is located 8 miles away. Great amenities include easy, flat parking for up to 3 cars (a rare find which makes travel so much easier in every season), plus free Wifi! (not fast enough for streaming and video calling).
On the 1st floor, you’ll find a secondary living area complete with gas fireplace, sectional sofa, and satellite TV. A guest bedroom with a queen bed, closet with sliding door, and a hallway bathroom with shower are just down the hall. Laundry facilities are also on the 1st floor.
The main floor is on the second story, which has the kitchen, dining/living room area with wood floors and knotty pine ceilings. The kitchen has granite counter tops, knotty alder cabinets, gas range, refrigerator, dishwasher, and microwave oven. Enjoy the view from the 2nd floor balcony complete with a propane grill and dining table. The main living room (2nd floor) has a top grain leather sectional, gas fireplace and a 55-inch flat screen HDTV/ Blueray and satellite television. The dining area table seats eight plus there are 3 bar stools at the island counter. Also on the 2nd floor is the master bedroom with a king bed, 46” Flat Screen TV with a Blue Ray Player, and a spacious walk-in closet. The guest bedroom on the 2nd floor has a queen bed, walk-in closet, and a shared full bathroom in the hallway.
Climbers Retreat is one of the best locations in the park with all of the features you need to make your Yosemite vacation a wonderful experience!

There was an old water smell coming from the washer (water in the washer barrel needs to be replaced) and there were ants in the kitchen. Other than those two things the house was wonderful and the customer support when we needed propane for the grill was fantastic.

Everyone we dealt with was friendly and helpful. We had to rebook because of the fires 2 years ago and that request was honored. Every question or request was promptly answered. We really liked the duplex we stayed in. Very comfortable, and well appointed.

We enjoyed our stay at Climbers Retreat. It was very comfortable and clean. The beds we comfortable and the AC units worked great. We had all of the amenities we needed. At one point I received text messages and emails about power outages while on a hike. My wife was still at the condo and let me know that we only lost power briefly. I appreciated the updates from PSE&G. I saw some reviews regarding the slow Internet, which was true. I was able to get faster speeds from my cell provider (Verizon). We expected that going in, so not a big deal. The location was awesome. Very close to a number of key spots in the park.

I love how immaculate it was. So clean. I searched for a super host and what a difference that made.. I also love how it was tastefully decorated, neat cabin atmosphere and not too much stuff. We had 3 flat screens, we were so excited to watch a good movie at the end of the day but the basic channels were not accessible so that was a bummer. We were hoping to a least get Netflix or cable.

It was a fabulous property and we felt right at home! Although I’m sure some families liked having the cable TV; it would have also been nice to have some board games /card games to play! We ended up buying some inside yosemite. Other than that, it was a wonderful stay and we will be back.

We had a wonderful stay! Check-in and entry into the unit was very easy. All staff we talked to prior to our stay were friendly and knowledgable about the area. Climber's retreat was sparking clean, spacious, and equipped with everything we needed, especially the kitchen. We loved the location, quiet neighborhood, its proximity to all of the areas in Yosemite, and the fact that it was located within the park entrance. It was much cooler (weather) and less crowded than Yosemite Valley, which was a plus for us. It was nice having a washer/dryer, air conditioning, and wifi. We visited during the Covid19 pandemic and a major plus was that we didn't have to get a separate reservation to enter the park. We would highly recommend Scenic Wonders and this property!

Booked through Airbnb without issue. House is as described, beautiful and accommodating. We were asked to change booking from our original place to Climber's Retreat because of COVID. This was a non issue as well, although I was looking forward to the original place, and I appreciate the communication during this time. This was our impromptu last ski/snowboard trip up Yosemite ski and snowboard place ( Badger pass ) Having an awesome cabin to stay and rest after a full day of snow play is important to keep the family happy. We were able to use the dryer to freshen up out wet gear since it was snowing the first day and we were more than ready for more on the second day. i like to thank the staff of Scenic Wonders for accommodating our last min booking and helping make our last family winter vacation memorable. We were very pleased with our stay at Climbers Retreat. The house was incredibly clean and the kitchen had everything we needed. The bed and bedding was incredibly comfortable! Loved the location, it was perfect for the sights we wanted to see in the valley, and glacier point and mariposa grove. Instructions to get into the house were very easy and clear. We have no complaints about our stay and will definitely use scenic wonders again for our next Yosemite trip.

The house is exactly the same as shown in the website which is very cozy and comfortable. House is big and very suitable for large group of people. All the stuffs that are needed in the kitchen are supplied which is very convenient for us since we plan to make our own dinner.
