Chateau Royal East is a three-level, 2 bedrooms plus loft space and 2-bath unit, duplex. This unit sleeps eight. Wifi as well.
On the top floor, there is a spacious loft overlooking the living room that has 2 queens “ size beds and is perfect for mom, dad, and a couple of kids.
The main floor has one bedroom, with a queen-size bed, there is a full-size bath, with the living room that has TV/DVD and Satellite, satellite WiFi (not fast enough for streaming and video calling), kitchen (no dishwasher), dining area seats 6, that opens out to a beautiful deck with wonderful views of the mountains and pine trees of Yosemite. Follow the spiral staircase downstairs to the bottom level, and you will find a lovely, cozy private master bedroom with a queen-size bed, a bath, and incredible views. There is a wood-burning fireplace in the living room and is shared by the dining area for those intimate evening dinners. Both the east and west wings can be rented together for those most special family reunions. There are 3 parking spots over the summer months, and 2 parking spots over the winter months.
We provide you with dishware, cookware, silverware, blankets, pillows, linens, and towels. Condiments provided are hot chocolate, Folgers coffee and filters, sugar packets, cream packets, Lipton tea, and salt & pepper. We also provide dishwasher detergent, hand soap, toilet paper, paper towels, and free firewood for units that have wood-burning fireplaces. All our properties come equipped with propane BBQ, and we provide the propane.

The propertys location and amenities are good. And the service/maintenance are responsive. However, I was very surprised that no shampoo/shower gel is provided as I have never been a lodging without shampoo being provided. It is not a big deal, but we were not prepared for it..

We liked staying at the house over all. It would have been nicer, if theres an air conditioner as it’s quite warm during nights and also wi-fi service as the phone at the house isn’t working either! ( there’s also a possibility that we didn’t know how to use it)

The location is great as was the house. The unit was very well stocked. Every evening we enjoyed a beautiful sunset. The only negative was lack of A/C or better ventilation as the unit got very hot by end of day.

Everything was great - the unit was in great condition and felt super comfortable. All communication from booking and throughout was perfect making everything run smoothly for us.
Wifi was not available. No starter logs provided. Small things, but sharing for the sake of transparency.
We had a fantastic time and loved our stay.

Our family really enjoyed our stay at the Chateau East! Not only was the location amazing, but it had the space and resources to sleep all of us comfortably. The team was very responsive when we ran out of fire starter which was great too.

The Chateau was excellent! The living room area was very comfy and had a great view of the mountains. The place looked like it was recently remodeled and was very clean. Only had a few small issues with some of the power outlets not working in different areas of the property. No WIFI available at the rental and cell phone signal is not very strong. Overall enjoyed our stay there and would stay again.

We had a great time. Everything was as expected. Just a few thing you may want to fix, not all the knobs on the stove work and the upstairs toilet doesn't flush all the time and the down stairs toilet will keep running if you don't shake the handle. The fridge light is only on sometimes.

We had a wonderful stay in the house. We knew to bring chains with us to the park and were so glad that we did. It snowed so much!! We did quite a bit of cooking in the house and had everything we needed. It would have been great to have a few more plastic containers to save leftovers in! The bathroom cabinets are in need of updating as the drawers don’t come out very well and kindof get stuck. This is a minor thing, just letting you know. Loved the water pressure!! Loved that you had a guy who helped us put our chains on our car since it was our first time!

I was so happy we chose Scenic Wonder for our stay at Yosemite! It is located near great trails near Wawona, just a short drive to the Valley. The Chalet was beautiful, so many amenities, but we still felt like we were in the woods! Also, after hiking, no crowds or traffic getting back home. So fun making S'mores on the grill, looking at the stars! The kids had a blast!! I would highly recommend Scenic Wonders and I will absolutely book them in the future.

For families with small children, it would be helpful to mention that two of the rooms are "open" and one room is closed - as in, only one room will be suitable for naps and early bedtimes because it's in a completely enclosed space.

This is my third time staying at Scenic Wonders, the first being at the condominiums, next at Birds Eye Vista and now Chateau East. Chateau East is incredibly charming and cozy without the feeling of being cramped. Also, parking is very easy during winter! The view is amazing and there is plenty of room on the deck. Being so close to Yosemite Valley, Badger Pass and Tunnel View means that you can enjoy the sights after having a homemade breakfast and be back in time to fix dinner and enjoy the sunset. Scenic Wonders staff are always friendly and helpful. I highly recommend Scenic Wonders!
